Lost In America
To visit any part of America I would say is on nearly everyone's bucket list, and it definitely was on mine. From watching realty TV shows such as Keeping Up With The Kardashian, the Real Housewives (sorry but we all do it lol) for as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of visiting and seeing what the golden state really has to offer.
My American adventure began in California in the city of Long Beach. A big city however I found it to have a smaller vibe yet still a good amount going on, so the atmosphere is very comfortable. My heart fell in love with 22nd street. A street full of art, music, bakerys, clothes, food and such a take it easy ambience. One of my favourite food spots was Panama Joes also known as PJ's. PJ's provided great food, great sport and even greater happy hours lol. If your a massive fan of Mexican food then this is the place for you. My favourite dish which I would recommend to everyone was the Soft Tacos. Filled with spicy salsa, mouth watering chipotle chicken, mild onion and fresh gratted lettuce, I had never tasted anything like it.
As this was the city beside the coast, the Belmont Shore Beach is right at your front door. My mornings consisted of stepping on to the satin silky sand, taking in the rays until it was lunch lol, what more could you ask for? Roller bladers gliding down the path walk, beach huts, volleyball it all felt like a movie. With everything walking distance I felt this was the perfect location to relax, rewind and take in all long beach has to offer.
As soon as the iconic 'Hollywood' sign came into sight it really starts to sink in that you are actually in LA. Everything is just so... busy! Cars everywhere, people everywhere doing everything, shops upon shops upon shops. It was hectic but you will honestly fall in love instantly (I know I did). I was so excited to be in the home of movie stars! One of the main attractions to tick of my list was the 'Ultimate Hollywood Tour' where you even get to see celebrity homes but also hear about LA and what it has to offer. These tickets were easy to purchase and because there are so many, reliable, companies offering the same tour there was no worry about a shortage of tickets. This guided tour brings you all over Hollywood seeing the famous hideout areas of the rich and famous such as Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Sunset Boulevard and even Rodeo Drive!
A trip to Hollywood would not be complete without visiting the famed stars at 'Hollywood Walk Of Fame'. Along 15 block, compromising of 2,600 stars, and lots and lots of tourists, it was a once in a life time experience, finding your favourite celebrities in the entertainment industry and posing beside them. A memory that will last a lifetime.
A change of scenery is ideal after a busy day in a busy Hollywood, so travelling south to the beach city of Santa Monica is a great move. Whether its exploring the renowned Santa Monica pier, beach, restaurants or nightlife I feel there is something for everyone, from relaxing sunseekers to adventurous thrill seekers. A must while visiting this western point is the Pier and you'll know you are in the right place as you simply cannot miss the iconic Ferris wheel. As well as being a hub spot for families with many activities and places to eat and drink it also provides the most picturesque setting looking out at the captivating pacific ocean, that also has a history too. If you ever find yourself in Southern California this sea side city, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed with a Trip to Santa Monica!
With only a ten minute drive from Santa Monica, LA's wacky beach town of 'Venice' is just around the corner! Venice is one of my favourite parts about LA majorily due to its 'Don't Care' atmosphere throughout it. Walking along the beach board walk you almost encounter the most arty, nutty and even rather strange things you could think of ranging from street performers to the iconic home of Arnold Schwarzenegger, The outdoor gym situated in Muscle Beach. My favourite part of Venice is the outdoor skate park that has a stunning waterfront view. I personally felt it was the perfect place to take a break, snack, relax and watch the amazing skill that the people of Venice had to offer!

San Francisco
The end of probably my favourite holiday to date finished off in 'everyone's favourite city' San Francisco. I was amazed by this city. With its towering buildings, intriguing cuisine and captivating culture, i had an endless list of spots I wanted to tick off before I left, a main one being the golden gate bridge. So the perfect way to achieve this and see all the city has to offer was with the open top bus tour. This bus tour delivered myself to all the stops I was fascinated to see ranging from Union Square to Height Ashbery however my favourite attraction without a doubt was the Golden Gate Bridge. A stimulating yet windy (so hold onto your hats) drive up to the Golden Gate Bridge and then you finally see the scenic red orange beauty that entices tourists from all over the world (and I defintely know why). Passing along the bridge is a great experience, even being able to see the famed island 'Alcatraz'. Once passed the bridge the tour reaches the small community of 'Sausalito', situated at the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Full of bonny boutiques, cosy cafes and staggering scenary, this little town is a yes when deciding your San Francisco spots!
I hope you have enjoyed reading where and what I got up too in my American adventure! Check out my other blogs too!
