Tenerife - Playa de Las Americas

Located in the southwestern tip of Tenerife is the holiday built resort of 'Playa de Las Americas'. Built in 1960's this lively, upbeat and British tourist crammed spot is becoming increasingly more popular as a holiday destination for both family and friend getaways. Having only visited this spot last summer I am already eager to return as I can now see why this destination is continually raved about. Although I could provide to you an endless list of things to do while exploring this sun filled island, I have narrowed my list down to 4 main attractions that cannot go unseen/visited while on holiday to Playa de Las Americas.

Siam Park

Situated in Costa Adeje, a 5 minute bus journey from Playa de Las Americas is the Thai themed water park, known to trip advisor as being the best water park in the world!!! Siamese filled scenary immediately greats you as you enter, with intriguing architecture to lush vegetation encaptivated within the walls, the experience is unforgettable. From beaches, rivers and rides created for relaxation, to family to adrenalin, i felt there was something for everyone. Aswell as activities the park also offers many places to eat and drink. From hamburgers and chips to sweets and chocolate, you are spolied for choice. A favourite of mine is 'The Tea House' which offers a huge variety of teas, coffees and crepes, a cute spot endulged within the Thai village. Purchasing tickets for the park is simple and easy epescially when pruchasing from the site itself. I have attached the link which i used to puchase my tickets - https://tickets.siampark.net/gb/

Filled with fashion, leisure and catering, Siam Mall offers the up most experience to any tourists or residents that endulges themselves in this Thai themed retail center. A free bus runs from the heart of laya de Las Americas, allowing for your journey to and from the mall to be stress free! 70 shops and eateries encaptivates Siam Mall from iconic spanish stores like Bershka to high street fashion like Zara. Siam Mall also offers a Hiperdino the well known Supermarket of Tenerife, Pharmacies, Jewellery and Lifestyle shops. Taste buds will be satisfied in Siam Mall with famous chains like Burger King, Subway and Tony Roma's to suit anyones hunger requests. Hours of time can be filled at Siam Mall as everyone loves a bit of retail therapy while away, i know i do!

Las Americas Beach

With 5 main beaches on offer in the resort of Playa de Las Americas, my favourite golden sandy stretch to place myself on to relax and take in the sun is 'Las Americas Beach'. Whether you are there for a day trip or just a few hours this beach has lots on offer besides being a haven for holidaymakers. Refreshments are on offer from various kiosks surrounding the beach aswell as a selection of water sports such as surf boards, banana boats and snorkelling gear. Plenty of options are available aswell as sunbeds to plump yourself on to soak in the sun which makes 'Las Americas Beach' the perfect destination to fill your time before heading back to your hotel.

Prominade to Los Christianos

Continually improving over the years, the stone paved walk along the coast of Playa de Las Americas can take you the whole way to Los Christianos. This long adventure is filled with many beaches aswell as restaurants and shops all different prices and quality. I had no problem finding somewhere to feast along the way as well as endulging myself into stalls and boutiques I came across. Besides eateries and retail therapy, all which do add to the experience, the unmissable views and sunsets which captivate you while you walk will make your holiday complete and confirm reasoning as to why Playa de Las Americas is a popular spot to visit.
