Liverpool Bucket List

Liverpool is iconic for the birth home of the Beatles a world class football team and it's buoyant nightspots, the only problem is deciding what you want to do, especially if your only visiting for a short stay. Many attractions, as well as lots of places to eat and drink your mind can get lost when choosing what tickles your fancy, so I am providing to you my top spots that you should include in your Liverpool Bucket List, and trust me you will not be disappointed!

Food and Drink

Straight of the aeroplane or after a long day of shopping, you are spolit for choice when it comes to places to eat or drink in Liverpool. From breakfast to brunch to lunch to dinner you are not lost when comes to the time to choose where to dig into to!

The Cosy Club

One of my favourite spots for breakfast is 'The Cosy Club'. With its perfect location situated on Paradise Street, this 1930's authentic restaurant/bar is one you can not miss out on! With continuous windows from the floor to the ceiling I felt it was the perfect venue to sit back, relax and dig into to your meal while having a splendid view which really is Paradise (lol). In terms of choosing what to eat, I would 100% recommend the 'Buttermilk pancakes'. Three pancakes smothered in crispy streaky bacon and sweet maple syrup, all I can say is it didn't last long. With various menus for different times of the day, make sure you tick off 'The Cosy Club' when you are in Liverpool.

Leaf On Bold Street

Situated in the heart of the city and on one of the most quirky streets in Liverpool, Leaf On Bold Street is a harmonious and beatnik café, but one of the coolest yet relaxing I have ever been to!  Entering into Leaf you are devoured into an inspiring atmosphere as well as being spolit for choice on what to choose, ranging from types of tea to mouth-watering menus for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. As I went for lunch and from scanning the menu lots of times as I was so torn with what to choose, I decided upon the 'Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup' that came with fresh focaccia and since I'm a sucker for red pepper and tomato soup I fell in love with this at first mouth full. It was thick, rich, and really all you could ask for in a hot soup. An effortless, yet filling lunch that will keep you going while exploring this famed city.

Crust

Who doesn't love pizza? well I certainly do, I genuinely could eat it non stop, especially pizza from Crust! Also located on Bold Street (I know I cant get enough) Crust is a pizza, pasta and beer restaurant. I couldn't resist going for the all rounder loved dish... Margarita Pizza ( I know plain lol) but this wood fire pizza had the most jaw dropping Italian sourced sauce and stringy white cheese that melted instantly in my mouth. Great food, Great services what more could you ask for?

Cowshed

In searching for a place to dine for dinner, preferably steak as I am huge fan, I found this little hidden gem situated on Seel Street. As a lover of beef, I had to go and explore all that cowshed had to offer (sorry veggies) especially as reviews and images of the cuisine looked exceptional. Upon arrival you are graced with this Victorian era house that has been transformed into a cosy yet fancy restaurant. Scanning the menu, there is so much to pick from, such as created specials, to steaks however with only a short glance I knew exactly what I wanted. I decided I would go with the 80z Fillet cooked medium well, served with a portion of crispy French fries and a side salad of rocket with a parmesan garnish... I know it was incredible!! It was stuffed into me within minutes and I would definitely say it was one of my favourite steaks to date!

Attractions

As lovely as it is filling your time in Liverpool with the finest cuisines they have to offer, you simply can not miss out on visiting the many  sites and attractions this exquisite city embraces.

Ghetto Golf

Located on Stanhope Street, this 18 hole warehouse is probably the most deviant and rather random mini golf course anyone will ever go to, well for me anyway. A neon filled atmosphere covered in graffiti and drinks constantly flowing (even while playing), this was one of my favourite spots in Liverpool. With each hole customised from eerie doll heads to the promiscuous red light district I was filled with endless excitement the whole way through, especially as the DJ was blasting music the whole way round! Whether you are with a group of friends or is fun filled date night, I feel this is the perfect way to spend an evening in Liverpool!

Bold Street

Not only is Bold Street filled with the best places to eat and drink, it also has the best retail therapy, from bonny boutiques to edgy epoch shops. My favourite part about this street was the numerous vintage spots. As annoying as hoking through jumper after fleece after hoodie can be, it was worth it in the end to find an item which realistically none of your friends will have. These shops even did the best deals, 1 for £10, 2 for £15 and 3 for £20 so lets just say I had trouble closing my case when returning home. With Bold Street stretching from the Church of St Luke the whole way down to Clayton Square you wont be able to miss it!

Albert Dock
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ha1kyz8adLA83tKC168Hp_5AFqwMYHRw

Opening in 1846 the Albert Dock is now the historic spot at the waterfront of this city's core, offering places to stay, restaurants and cafes to eat in, bars to drink in and places to play from the Victorian carrousel to Escape Hunt. I loved this place as it was the perfect spot for going for coffee. With basically every restaurant and café filled with windows (if your sitting inside) you are able to sit, relax and stare out at the history filled walls of Albert Dock.

The Cavern Club
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1X-Gkf5tTdpZyIdCLDq5bH5E0ZF5GJPV9

As the Beatles are one of the most famous selling bands in the world, you could not leave Liverpool without visiting there famous birth place 'The Cavern Club', situated on Matthew Street. The Entrance and down the numerous stairs is all darkened but I suppose what nightclub isn't dark?. This underground world is rather amazing, as their is more than just two stages and bar. Pictures everywhere commemorating other celebrities who have came and those who have preformed. Even all over the walls are signatures and messages left from those who visited. With live music playing and a drink in hand, the atmosphere is perfect to embrace all the musical history that lays within.
